Neighborhood Resources

LPS is available to help prepare a neighborhood plan and/or comprehensive plan, which involves conducting a survey of neighborhood assets and constraints to establish and map current conditions.  The inventory may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Public infrastructure and condition (i.e., water and sewer lines, parks, and other public facilities owned or operated by the local government, other governmental agencies, and public utilities)
  • Neighborhood-level services and facilities (i.e. disposal and recycling, emergency services, libraries, community and recreational centers, etc.)

LPS can also assist a municipality in developing a strategic action plan to address specific neighborhoods in the municipality.  Community outreach and visioning will be important components of this service.
