Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver to Speak at a Press Conference Announcing Foreclosure Counseling Initiative

WHAT:

The Murphy administration is stepping up efforts to prevent foreclosures in New Jersey with an announcement about a new housing counseling service to provide guidance to homeowners facing foreclosure. The initiative aims to bolster the state’s efforts to help people keep their homes with professional housing counselors acting as advocates for the homeowner.

Lieutenant Governor Oliver will address and take questions from the press followed by remarks from Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Executive Director Charles Richman, NJ Citizen Action Executive Director Phyllis Salowe-Kaye and Saint James A.M.E. Pastor Ronald Slaughter.  Open to the media and public.
