DOW helps fund domestic violence shelter programs, providing funds to address client health and safety issues and maintain or improve shelter or outreach office facilities.  The maximum award to any awardee is $10,000.

Physical improvements may include, but are not limited to, new construction, furnishings, appliances, and equipment.

Eligible applicants must be a licensed domestic violence agency and a grantee of the New Jersey Department of Children and Families.  A grantee is defined as a current DCF contractor.  Grants are intended to assist service providers in maintaining or improving and assuring the safety and well-being of the individuals and families receiving the department's services.

Women's Shelter Grant funding is announced annually via a Request for Proposal and is posted on DCF's website at:
