Kevin Walker

Kevin Walker has been a lawyer since 1985.  A graduate of Rutgers University (B.A. in history, 1982, J.D., 1985, M.A. in history, 2008), he clerked in the Appellate Division for the Hon. John W. Fritz, P.J.A.D.  A former Camden County Assistant Prosecutor, Mr. Walker has been with the Office of the Public Defender since 1996.  He became the Deputy Public Defender over the Burlington Region in 2008 until his appointment to Assistant Public Defender in 2015. In December 2017 he was appointed to the position of First Assistant Public Defender.

Mr. Walker has supervisory responsibility over the Burlington, Cumberland, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Sussex and Warren Criminal Trial Regions and also oversees the Drug Court/ISP Unit.  Mr. Walker has served as President of the Burlington County Bar Association and co-chair of the Association's Criminal Practice Section.
