The NJ Coastal Ecological Restoration and Adaptation Plan (CERAP) will identify areas for ecological projects that increase community resilience, ecosystem health, and/or carbon sequestration. Earlier this year, coastal stakeholders nominated ecological areas of concern and projects for inclusion in the CERAP. Nominations are currently being evaluated and characterized based on a suite of coastal issues of concern (see the Issues of Concern Data Explorer below). The project will result in an online mapping tool that meets the decision-support needs of a broad set of coastal stakeholders and will be iteratively developed with additional calls for nominations in the future.
