In South America, the ENSP partnered with several other agencies to survey the wintering red knot. Conducted in the harsh and windy terrain of Tierra Del Fuego our survey covered 90% of the wintering knot habitat in South America. Most of the birds concentrated in just three sites, Rio Grande and Bahia San Sebastion in Argentina and Bahia Lomas in Chile.
