Our 2004 team includes experienced shorebird biologists from all over the western hemisphere.

- Sandy Bauers is a reporter with the Philadelphia Inquirer. She has been with the paper for 18 years and often reports on nature topics.
- Olivia Blank is with the Instituto de Investigacion Agropecuaria, Punta Arenas, Chile. She is also a veterinarian, wildlife researcher and rehabilitator. Currently she is supervising a graduate student working on avian disease. This is Olivia's fourth trip to Tierra del Fuego.
- Amanda Dey is a senior zoologist with ENSP. She is currently completing a phD thesis on New Jersey migratory passerines. This is Mandy's 5th trip to Tierra del Fuego.
- Luis Espinoza is a secondary biology teacher and is a leader within the Chilean Ornithological Union. This is Luis' third year in Tierra del Fuego where he is an integral part of the Chilean banding team.
- Carmen Espoz is a professor at Universidad Santo Tomas where she teaches biometrics and her focus is in marine ecology. This is Carmen's second year at Tierra del Fuego; she is studying the trophic relationship between the red knot and invertebrate fauna present at Bahia Lomas
- Chip Fox is a photographer with the Philadelphia Inquirer. He has been with the paper almost 17 years.
- Lisa Garrison is a consultant in the field of environmental grantmaking, currently working with the Hudson River Foundation and the NJ City Environmental Fund. This is Lisa's second trip to Tierra del Fuego.
- Dan Hernandez is a phD student at Rutgers University and his research focuses on shorebird foraging dynamics. This is Dan's first time to Tierra del Fuego.
- Kim Korth is a biologist with ENSP and this is her first time to Tierra del Fuego. She is currently working on the NJ Landowner Incentive Program.
- Antonio Larrera is a photographer and graphic designer. He is working on a photo-documentation of Bahia Lomas and this is his second year with the team in Tierra del Fuego .
- Ricardo Matus is a wildlife biologist from Punta Arenas, Chile and has led research on Ruddy-headed and Ashy-headed Geese as well as leading birding tours. He has illustrated several books on birds of Tierra del Fuego.
- Larry Niles is Chief of ENSP and has led NJ shorebird project since 1985. He received a Ph.D from Rutgers and has led Arctic and South American field projects for the last 5 years
- Kees Oosterbeek leads European Oystercatcher in the Wadden Sea in the Netherlands. He has canon netted and mist netted migratory shorebirds throughout Europe and Africa.
- Mark Peck is a biologist with the Royal Ontario Museum in Toroto Canada. He has been with the Musuem for over 20 years and his research focus is on shorebirds. This is Mark's 10th trip to Tierra del Fuego.
- Alejandra Ponce is finishing her degree in veterinary medicine. This is her second year working in Tierra del Fuego where she is focusing on invertebrate ecology in intertidal sediments in Bahia Lomas.
