Register Now With the Free NJ Saltwater Recreational Registry Program

October 9, 2013

The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is reminding all saltwater anglers they must register with the New Jersey Saltwater Recreational Registry Program (NJSRRP) prior to fishing in 2013. Registrations expire at the end of each calendar year and must be renewed annually. Anglers who were previously registered but haven't yet renewed for 2013 should do so before fishing. Those doing so now will be just in time to take advantage of the fall fisheries.

Anglers with a valid license/registration from another state, or a New Jersey freshwater license, are still required to register (for free) with the NJSRRP.

For more information on the NJSRRP or to register for 2013, please visit www.saltwaterregistry.nj.gov. Anglers or for-hire vessel owners/operators who have not previously registered with the NJSRRP should select "NEW INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION" or "NEW FOR-HIRE REGISTRATION" respectively. Those needing to renew a previous registration should select "RENEW ANY REGISTRATION" (renewals for 2014 begin on October 31).

For more information on saltwater fishing in New Jersey visit the Saltwater Fishing, Crabbing and Clamming page.
