Changes to Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge Hunt Program |
|
September 3, 2019
At the request of the manager at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, the US Fish and Wildlife Service notes that there are several changes to their refuge hunt program being implemented beginning in 2019-20.
Deer Management Zones 56, 57, 58, & 70 will continue to be used and hunters will still be required to purchase the appropriate DMZ permit for those zones. In addition, an Annual Refuge Hunting Permit will be required for all types of hunting and can be purchased at https://forsythe.recaccess.com/. The permit allows you to hunt all refuge seasons, which includes deer, migratory birds, turkey and squirrel. Please visit www.fws.gov/refuge/Edwin_B_Forsythe/visit/hunting.html for other new refuge regulations.
A hunter orientation seminar will be held Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Visitor Information Center meeting room at the refuge: 800 Great Creek Road, Galloway, NJ. Call the refuge at 609-652-1665 if you need more information or have questions.
