Land Use Management currently offers the following educational programs:
We are in the process of developing additional programs that will be available soon.
Our education programs can be presented in classrooms and other small-group settings, such as scout and club meetings. They can also be adapted for larger educational events that feature booths, tables, or stations, such as fairs (e.g. county fairs, 4-H fairs, etc.).
Please note that we require six weeks’ notice for all events.
• Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) – This program focuses on the impacts that humans can have on New Jersey’s coastal waters, including pollution and turbidity (cloudy water caused by suspended sand and sediment). Using models and other visual materials, we demonstrate how our actions can affect the plant life that lives beneath the water, which in turn effects the fish and other creatures who call those plants home. This program is appropriate for pre-k level and up.
