Areas by Camping Facilities

Campsites Sites for tents and/or trailers for up to six people. Trailer hook-ups are not available.

Allaire, Bass River, Belleplain, Brendan Byrne (formerly Lebanon), Cheesequake, High Point, Jenny Jump, Parvin, Spruce Run, Stephens, Stokes, Swartswood, Voorhees, Wharton, Worthington.


Group Campsites These Group sites may be rented by groups of seven or more people with the maximum limit determined by the size of the facility.

Allaire, Bass River, Belleplain, Byrne (formerly Lebanon), Cheesequake, High Point, Jenny Jump, Kittatinny Valley, Parvin, Round Valley, Stokes, Swartswood, Voorhees, Washington Crossing, Wawayanda, Wharton, Worthington.


Pet Friendly Campsites The New Jersey State Park Service is once again welcoming pets and their owners to select campgrounds within the NJ State parks/forests. The fee for the pet friendly campsites is $5 per night.

Bass River, Belleplain, Brendan Byrne (formerly Lebanon), Cheesequake, High Point, Parvin, Round Valley Recreation Area, Stephens, Stokes, Swartswood, Wawayanda, Wharton


Cabins Enclosed structures with fireplaces or woodburning stoves, furnished living rooms, bunks, kitchens, bathrooms, running water, electricity. Cooking utensils, towels and bed linens are not provided.

Bass River, Byrne (formerly Lebanon), High Point, Parvin, Stokes, Wharton.


Group cabins Enclosed structures with fireplaces or woodburning stoves, furnished living rooms, bunkrooms, bunks, bathrooms, kitchen, running water, electricity. Group cabins at Belleplain and High Point accommodate 28 to 30 people. Group cabin at Stokes accomodates 12 people. Cooking utensils, towels and bed linens are not provided.

Lean-tos Four walls, closed structure, woodburning stove.

Bass River, Belleplain, Stokes.


Shelters Small cabins with living area, two double bunk beds, outside cooking facilities and water and sanitary facilities within walking distance. Cooking utensils, towels and bed linens are not provided.

Bass River, Jenny Jump, Spruce Run, Voorhees, Allaire.


Wilderness Campsites Tent sites. Remote sites are reached by backpacking, boating or canoeing.

Round Valley.


Primitive Campsites Rustic tent sites. Some areas are only accessible by backpacking, boating or horseback riding. Picnic tables, grills or fire rings are not available at these sites. Several sites require campers to provide their own water.

Wharton.


Yurts A circular tent built on a wood frame, featuring wood floors, a deck and plexiglass skylight. Each yurt has a lockable wood door, window screens and flaps, and two double-deck bunks, which sleep up to four people. Cooking facilities, water and restroom facilities within walking distance. Varying levels of accessibility for persons with disabilities.
