Radon Certification Procedures for NEW Applicants
(Never previously Certified)

• The regulations for the Certification of Radon Testers and Mitigators at N.J.A.C. 7:28-27 are operative until December 2, 2022. The NEW regulations for Radon Testing and Mitigation at N.J.A.C. 7:28-27A will become operative on December 3, 2022.


• To become certified now, you are required to submit an application for certification under the CURRENT regulations . After this certification is effective, you will then need to become certified under the new regulations to continue your certification after the new regulations are operative on December 3, 2022.


• If you do not wish to submit an application to become certified under the current regulations, you can wait until December 3, 2022, and submit an initial application for certification under the new regulations. Please check this website on or after December 3, 2022 for initial applications and instructions.
