Notice of Rule Proposal:
Sludge Quality Assurance, N.J.A.C. 7:14C

PUBLIC NOTICE
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (Department) is proposing to readopt the Sludge Quality Assurance rules (SQAR – N.J.A.C. 7:14C) with amendments. The SQAR establish reporting procedures to monitor the quality and quantity of sludge generated throughout the state by domestic and industrial treatment works. The Department proposes to mandate electronic submittal of monitoring report forms, and to exempt some of the smallest generators from the requirement to submit analytical reports.

The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register dated June 6, 2011.  A copy of the proposal is available from the DEP website, by contacting Mr. Jim Lunski, rule manager, by phone at (609) 633-3823 or by email at james.lunski@dep.state.nj.us, or by going to www.lexisnexis.com/bookstore.  Be advised that there may be a fee for obtaining a copy of the proposal from some sources.
