Take notice that the public comment period on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s proposal of amendments and new rules in the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:13, Coastal Zone Management Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:7 and Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:7A, is extended (see 48 N.J.R. 1408(a)).  The proposal was published in the New Jersey Register on June 20, 2016.

The proposal indicated that written comments may be submitted by August 19, 2016. The public comment period is extended until August 26, 2016. 

The Department encourages electronic submittal of comments. Submit comments electronically at www.nj.gov/dep/rules/comments. In the alternative, comments may be submitted on paper to:
