A Press Event will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 (raindate – January 20, 2016) to kickoff the construction of the second outfall at Wreck Pond. This is the second phase of the project to reduce flood risk of the surrounding community, and to improve water quality and fish passage in Wreck Pond. The first phase was dredging of 42,000 cubic yards.

September’s Wreck Pond Watershed Regional Stormwater Management Committee Meeting will be held at Wreck Pond on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 3pm. Meet at the Spring Lake parking lot at Ocean and Brown Avenue for a walking tour of Wreck Pond. All other 2013 Wreck Pond Watershed Regional Stormwater Management Committee Meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month at 3pm in the Wall Township Municipal Building Community Room. |

Upcoming Build-A-Rain Barrel Workshop will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 10am-12pm at the Spring Lake Pavilion Boardwalk at Ocean & Atlantic. |

As a result of Hurricane Sandy, sand dunes to the north of the Wreck Pond outfall in Spring Lake, breached and formed a natural inlet. Due to the littoral drift of sand, the inlet naturally closed within two weeks. Click here for post Hurricane Sandy pictures from November and December of 2012. |

On March 23, 2013, come join us for a Wreck Pond Watershed Wellness Day. There will be a watershed clean-up starting at 10am followed by refreshments and environmental educational presentations at noon, and a build a rain barrel workshop at 1:30pm.
