Pre-Licensure Instructors

The following steps will guide you through the renewal process:

1.

Have your Reference Number and PIN ready (these were sent to you on the printed renewal notice and by email). Please read all instructions.

To login: (if you already have a myNewJersey portal account you can simply login to this same account)

  • Enter your real estate instructor reference number in the field provided and click SEARCH (view sample login part 1 ).

    Note: If you do not know your reference number, enter your last name (first name optional) and click the SEARCH button. This will display all matching persons. Select yourself on this list (click the button to the left of your name), then click the NEXT button located under the list of names
  • Next you will be prompted to enter your PIN (view sample PIN entry). Enter your PIN which was sent to you both on your printed Renewal Notice and the corresponding email. Once you enter a valid PIN, you will be logged in to the NJDOBI Online Licensing Services menu.

Once logged in, if we do not have an email address for you on file, you will be immediately prompted to enter a valid email address needed by the REC to send confirmational emails (sample email entry). Once your email address has been entered and you click the SAVE button, you will be transferred to your online Real Estate Online Licensing Services Menu.

Complete your Questionnaire. The submission of your application for renewal is dependent upon successfully submitting your online questionnaire to the NJ Real Estate Commission (REC). No paper questionnaires will be accepted. Until the questionnaire is completed, you will not be able to submit your application for Renewal.

PLEASE NOTE: The completion of your qualifying questionnaire DOES NOT complete the Renewal application process nor does it automatically approve your application. It is simply the required first part of the application submission process.

5. Click on the "Renew Pre-Licensure Instructor License" application link. Doing so will display the Renewal Home page which shows the Fee Chart, a Current Renewal Summary showing the License type and status of your Renewal, and a Submitted Renewals Chart which will display the details of your Renewal request once it has been submitted. It will also warn you (in red) if you have not yet completed your online Questionnaire or you have not attended the required Instructor Continuing Education seminar for this licensing period. These are both required to continue the renewal process.
6. Clicking the"Continue to Summary" button will bring you to the Renewal Summary page. This page lists what you will be submitting for Renewal and the corresponding fee.
7. Click "Continue" will next display the Select Payment Method page. Decide whether you will be paying with credit card or electronic check.
8. Selecting "credit card" will display the pages which will allow you to enter your credit card information. For credit cards please make sure you complete the process. Always check for errors after you enter your data. Once all data is entered correctly, the payment information will be re-displayed for your verification. You must then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the MAKE PAYMENT button. If you do not click this button, your payment will not be applied, and your Renewal application will NOT BE SUBMITTED.

Selecting Electronic Check will display the page allowing entry of bank account information.
9. Whether you pay by credit card or electronic check, you will eventually have a Renewal Confirmation page (Transaction Results) displayed. This page contains all information concerning your Renewal transaction. IF YOU DO NOT SEE THIS RENEWAL CONFIRMATION PAGE, YOUR Renewal WAS NOT SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY!
