John Yagecic, P.E.

John Yagecic is the Manager of Water Quality Assessment for the Delaware River Basin Commission. In that capacity, he supervises and directs the work of a professional staff of engineers and scientists engaged in the development of water quality standards (including physical, chemical and biological criteria) for Basin waters and supporting regulations for maintaining and improving water quality; planning and conducting water quality monitoring studies in support of assessment activities; and the preparation of water quality assessments including the biannual Section 305(b) report. He has been with the Delaware River Basin Commission for over 20 years.

Yagecic serves as the Commission’s liaison to the DRBC’s Water Quality Advisory Committee.

He is a licensed engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Before DRBC, John worked for 9 years for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Chicago, Illinois and Galveston, Texas. He has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also an adjunct instructor at Temple University.
