Daryl Minus-Vincent is a deputy assistant commissioner for the Division of Field Services at the New Jersey Department of Education.  In this role, he promotes the vision of the NJDOE by stimulating a culture of equitable student achievement and establishing programmatic transparency, while ensuring that districts are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Mr. Minus-Vincent assists in the oversight of the offices that fall under the Division of Field Services. One key responsibility is to provide guidance and support to the Executive County Superintendents and their County Offices of Education to translate policies into practice and maintain standards, while still addressing the unique needs of each district and every student

For over 19 years, Mr. Minus-Vincent has served in various capacities within the NJDOE.  As the Interim executive county superintendent for Burlington County, he has overseen one of the largest counties in the state, consisting of 41 diverse school districts and 2 charter schools, offering a microcosm of the challenges and opportunities experienced by suburban and urban students, teachers, and administrators. During his tenure with NJDOE, Mr. Minus-Vincent has worked statewide with diverse internal and external stakeholders to shape policy, provide technical assistance and support schools to achieve optimal outcomes.

Prior to the NJDOE, Mr. Minus-Vincent interacted directly with students in Trenton and Willingboro, in the classroom and as a counselor, which offered critical hands-on experience that has been integral to his work.  Additionally, Mr. Minus-Vincent was an elected member of the Lumberton Township Board of Education and the Rancocas Valley Regional High School Board of Education. He also serves on the Burlington County Institute of Technology/Burlington County Special Services School District Board of Education and the Board of Trustees for Rowan College at Burlington County.

Educated in the Trenton Public Schools, Daryl is a lifelong New Jersey resident and has lived in Burlington County since 1998 with his wife, DeAnna, and daughter, Darynn. Mr. Minus-Vincent holds a Bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration degree from Eastern University. He is currently enrolled at Seton Hall University, pursuing an Ed.D. in Education Leadership, management and policy.
