Kim G. Walker works as Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Executive Services for the New Jersey Department of Education.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Walker served as an aide to Gov. Philip D. Murphy in Cabinet Affairs, and was a liaison to the Departments of Agriculture, Community Affairs, Education, Health, Homeland Security & Preparedness, and Treasury.

Before joining the Murphy administration, Ms. Walker served as a communications consultant and strategist across a variety of industries including healthcare, pharma, financial services, specialty manufacturing, and community non-profits.

During her career, Ms. Walker also worked in communications and development at Kent Place School in Summit, NJ, and in the consumer health sector at Edelman in New York. She also served as an aide to Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) in Washington, D.C.

Active in her community, Ms. Walker serves on the board of the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.
