NJ SMART introduced the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Submission in the 2009-2010 School Year. The CTE Submission collects a set of data elements that provide a more comprehensive picture of students that are enrolled in CTE programs. The collection of this data at the student level allows for improved data quality and capacity for CTE administrators and stakeholders. CTE Submission eliminates the Vocational Education Data System (VEDS) collection. The CTE Submission is required for all LEAs that have a Career and Technical Education program.
The most up to date versions of the CTE Handbook, supplemental resources, and file templates can be downloaded from the Documents for Downloads page.
