The Buena Regional High School is a comprehensive regional public high school founded in 1971, serving students in grades 9 - 12.  The faculty, staff and administrators of the Buena Regional High School (BRHS) work hard to provide a rewarding educational program to a culturally diverse population from local sending communities and other municipalities.

BRHS’s curriculum includes Advanced Placement (AP) program offerings in English Literature and Composition, Calculus, European History, and Chemistry as well as honors, college preparatory and general course offerings in each of the major content areas.  Science courses with laboratory components are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as well as an Agriculture/Horticulture program aligned with the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE).

Buena Regional High School’s elective program is highlighted by course offerings in the Arts, Music, Graphic Arts, Music, Business/Financial Literacy and Technology.  The Graphic Arts program, in particular, is highly recognized, accelerated, and offered at three distinctive levels.  The Instrumental and Vocal music programs are both regionally and nationally recognized.  With the 2014-15 school year, the high school is enhancing its keyboarding classes aimed at delivering beginning to intermediate piano instruction and music composition.  All instruction is accomplished by Highly Qualified faculty who’ve achieved county, state, and national recognition.

Historically, Buena Regional High School has scored well above state averages and above other schools in its District Factor Group on the High School Proficiency Assessment.  We anticipate continued success with the advent of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments.  BRHS students taking the SAT routinely score in the top 90% nationally.  Buena Regional High School has a philosophy which calls for providing all students the opportunity to take this vital, college preparatory test.

Several co-curricular and extra-curricular clubs and activities are offered at the Buena Regional High School to encourage student involvement in the total high school experience.  BRHS’s athletic teams have gained statewide recognition in several sports, winning numerous individual and team championships as well as other achievements.  Buena Regional High School’s graduating class routinely earns academic and athletic scholarships enabling them to further their educational pursuits.

Community and parental involvement is greatly encouraged as part of the Buena Regional's core belief in the Parent-School Partnership. Efforts produced towards these ends include, the Buena Regional High School – Parent Teacher Organization (BRHS – PTO), an annual “Back to School Night”, recurrently scheduled parent conferences, site-based team meetings, and related activities and events.

The Buena Regional High School provides a safe and orderly instructional setting for our staff and students.  BRHS is a leader amongst schools taking a firm and active stance on Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying via ongoing teaching and efforts towards reduction through a coordinated program involving counselors, administrators and all faculty and staff.  Our commitment to creating an optimum learning atmosphere and a character-building environment remains a priority now, and into the future.
