Pemberton Board members, administrators, teachers, and support staff are committed to providing all of our students with an outstanding educational experience With a student population of over 5000 students from Pemberton Township, Pemberton Borough and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, our nine schools provide a quality, comprehensive education for all students.

Learning begins early in Pemberton, as students in our highly-regarded early childhood program are encouraged to develop a love of learning. Research reveals that a high number of students who attend our early childhood program become successful, involved students, going on to become members of our National Honor Societies, student government, athletic programs and most important, more likely to be college and/or career ready.

Our elementary schools cultivate positive self-esteem, valuable character education, effective study habits and academic challenges with strong supports. Young students learn in a welcoming environment that includes small class sizes, a gifted and talented program, and various literacy programs.

Character education and positive behavior supports continue at our middle and high schools, where block scheduling (at the high school) allows students to immerse themselves in specific subject areas for extended learning periods. Specialized Learning Academies in the high school provide motivated students with a comprehensive education in a focused area of interest. Our Gifted and Talented Program provides enriching learning opportunities for students in grades K-12, and the AVID program (Advancement via Individual Determination) in the secondary schools provides students with the tools they need to succeed in Advanced Placement, Honors, and the College Acceleration Program courses, as well as the motivation to pursue a college education. In addition, a full complement of vocational and career-inspired courses help prepare students for real world success.

State assessments, in conjunction with additional assessment tools, help us track student achievement AND growth. Student achievement data provided by the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) reports indicate our students our exceeding their growth projections, and provides teachers and students with the information needed to design learning plans to encourage further growth and success.

Pemberton remains in the forefront of technology and is now in its second year of an ambitious one-to-one tablet initiative. With the goal of increased student engagement in their learning environment, we expect to have every student in grades 3-12 working with their own tablet technology provided by the district. Other technology utilized throughout the district includes laptops, desktops, Smart Boards, SMART TV's and assistive technology.

Rounding out our full spectrum of academic and student services are extensive enrichment studies, an excellent special needs program, winning athletic programs, outstanding theatre and music programs, a broad range of extra-curricular activities, and caring support services.

Our long-standing association with Rowan at Burlington County College allows us to offer students a number of high school courses for college credit, and additional community liaisons with area businesses and organizations greatly benefit our students while enhancing the favorable partnership between community and school. We are proud of our time-honored affiliation with the military community, and provide numerous events and programs to honor our military families throughout the year.

At Pemberton Township Schools, we strive to prepare all students to reach their highest potential by providing a challenging curriculum, exceptional technology and comprehensive extra-curricular programs, and take great pride in the many achievements of our remarkable students.
