Tewksbury Township is located in northeastern Hunterdon County and encompasses 31.7 square miles of beautiful countryside. The Tewksbury Township Board of Education operates a PreK-8 district comprised of two schools and serving 598 students. Students in grades Pre-K-4 attend the Tewksbury Elementary School and 5th - 8th grade students attend the Old Turnpike School. Our graduating 8th grade students are served by Voorhees High School. The Tewksbury Township School District is a participant in the Interdistrict School Choice program and accepts a limited number of Choice students each year from other districts.

The Tewksbury Township School District is committed to providing a learning environment for our students which supports academic excellence, personalized learning and social and emotional growth. The district's curriculum reflects high academic standards and is aligned with the NJ Core Content Standards and the Common Core State Standards. Further, the district supports enhanced opportunities for students to utilize technology to further develop the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, design, and critique. In addition to addressing the academic needs of our students, Tewksbury Township School District is committed to providing a safe and positive school environment. To this end, students participate in character education programs which facilitate the development of the interpersonal and social skills needed for students to be successful.

One of the most important factors in the success of our district is the high level of participation and support given by parents and organizations within our community. Our students benefit from a very active PTA which supports teacher wish lists, provides programs and assemblies for our students and provides volunteer and financial support for all types of school and class projects from after school enrichment opportunities for students to enhancing our instructional technology program. In addition to the PTA, our students are supported by the Tewksbury Educational Foundation. The TEF sponsors artists-in-residence programs throughout our district to enhance our curriculum in the arts. Additionally, the Foundation is a strong supporter of our technology initiative and provides funds for purchasing student laptops and tablets as we move toward a 1:1 environment for our students. Finally, the Tewksbury Athletic Association offers and supports our students' physical and social-emotional growth through recreational athletics. Through this unified community effort, Tewksbury Township School District students grow and thrive as they prepare to become tomorrow's leaders.

The Tewksbury Board of Education, administration, instructional staff and community are committed to each child to achieve his or her potential academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
