The Pinelands Regional School District is a limited-purpose regional school district located in southern Ocean County. The District consists of a Junior High School for grades 7-9, a High School for grades 10-12 and an Alternative High School for at-risk students in grades 9-12. The communities of Bass River, Eagleswood, Little Egg Harbor, and Tuckerton are served by the District with approximately 1,700 students in grades 7-12. The District strives to meet the diverse needs of our students through academics, extra-curricular offerings, student support services and a very caring group of faculty and staff within a supportive, involved community.

In the past few years, the District has seen a significant increase in Advanced Placement participation by students which is supported by a strong academic focus with Honors and Gifted/Talented courses beginning in Grade 7. A broad spectrum of courses are offered to our students, including hands-on opportunities in the Practical Arts, performance opportunities in the Fine Arts, and a wide variety of academic electives in addition to a strong offering of core subjects. Our Special Education program includes mainstream, Resource Room, and self-contained programs to effectively educate students at their appropriate level. A full spectrum of athletics and extra-curricular programs are offered to our students throughout grades 7-12. A majority of our students are actively involved in these programs.

We are a Choice School District as approved by the New Jersey DOE for the 2015-16 school year. We believe our educational program will meet the needs of choice students looking for smaller class sizes, an encouraging environment for Advanced Placement participation, a top-notch Performing Arts program, and/or a full range of extra-curricular and sports offerings in a smaller school setting.

The District and Board of Education are driven by our Mission Statement:

"We, the Pinelands Regional School District, in partnership with our families and community, are dedicated to providing each student with relevant education experiences that develop well-rounded, productive citizens in our diverse world. Our commitment to education emphasizes positive character development, personal success, and the pursuit of excellence while mastering the evolving demands of 21st Century skills as well as the core curriculum content standards."
