This year is the beginning its expansion into the elementary grades. For the 2015-16 school year CJCPCS will continue to serve grades 6 - 12 and also opens the lower school with grades K & 1. The school will add one elementary level grade per year going forward until the lower school reaches 5th grade. We are located in Somerset and we serve students throughout the region including Franklin Township, New Brunswick, and North Brunswick. 2015 was our forth consecutive year for 100% graduation rate and 100% acceptance rate for our students into 4-year colleges and universities. Our maximum enrollment is 432 students and the student/teacher ratio is 12 to 1 or less.

We are committed to academic excellence and to providing our students interesting course offerings such as Genetics, Computer Programming, Engineering, Chinese, and Turkish along with through instruction in the core subjects. The school also has scheduled additional periods of English and Math to strengthen skills and opened honor classes for both middle and high school students. Substantive academic assistance is provided for students showing a need to progress, including after school tutoring and additional in-class support teachers.

CJCPCS has enhanced the technological experience in the classroom through its Technology Integration Project. In addition to interactive Smartboards in every classroom the school has a 1:1 Chromebook policy for every middle and high school student along with access to etextbooks and the majority of assignments are in the digital format. The lower school students have technology incorporated through classroom sets of tablet devices and computer stations that utilize high quality digital curriculum.

CJCPCS emphasizes the benefit of AP classes for high school students and continues to expand the selection. There are currently 13 AP classes including: AP US History, AP Economics, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Literature, AP Studio Arts, and AP Chemistry. The regular curriculum is also expanded through Virtual High School (VHS), which allows a significant increase in the number of courses offered in different subjects and includes honors level courses.

CJCPCS runs a nationally recognized program in character education called Positive Behavioral Support System. Expected behaviors are stated in a positive way and reinforced. The system reinforces the schools core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety. Facility improvements were completed to allow students outdoor recess time and indoor recreation time for enhancement of social emotional health to promote learning readiness.

CJCPCS has instituted a College Mentorship Program to help guide our high school students through the college admissions process. Students are placed in small groups and supported by a mentor to keep them on track for successful college entrance exam performance, resume development, career and college choice, financial aid application, plus the actual admissions process. In addition, two school counselors provide substantial assistance for college admission tasks and organize multiple college campus visits and college instant admission decision days at the school.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in many enriching educational experiences beyond the regular classroom instruction including regional Science Olympiad competitions, Math competitions, FIRST Robotics competition, National Honor Society, Turkish Language Olympiad, Debate Club, Computer Science Club, and many other exciting clubs. This year students also have the opportunity to compete in interscholastic team sports basketball and volleyball. Last year, 2014-15, our high school FRC robotics team placed third in NJ.
