Transportation is the one service that almost every resident of the Garden State uses daily. Commitment to Communities began as an initiative in 2018 to assist local governments in spending the substantial additional dollars directed their way as a result of the reauthorization of the Transportation Trust Fund. It has expanded to build on Commissioner Diane Gutierrez- Scaccetti’s vision to make NJDOT inclusive of all communities it serves. On June 23rd more than 350 business owners attended the Commitment to Communities Forum and Expo to meet with DOT leadership and learn how to grow, collaborate and do business with NJDOT.
