Premier League, EA SPORTS, U.S. Soccer Foundation, and Governor Murphy to unveil new soccer mini-pitch as part of ongoing commitment to community soccer
KEARNY - Community members and invited guests will celebrate the official opening of a new soccer mini-pitch, “The Kearny Futures Field,” at Washington Elementary School in Kearny, New Jersey on July 27th. The celebration of the new mini-pitch – which was co-funded by the Premier League and its lead partner EA SPORTS and installed in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy – will include a youth soccer clinic, giveaways, celebrity athlete appearances, and more.
The mini-pitch opening forms part of many activities taking place during the Premier League Summer Series and is the first permanent site the Premier League and EA SPORTS have created in the United States. This builds on the long-term commitment of both organizations to invest in grassroots football facilities, access, equipment, and education.
The mini-pitch also builds on the more than 600 mini-pitches the U.S. Soccer Foundation has installed across the U.S., including 27 mini-pitches locally in New Jersey, through It’s Everyone’s Game, the organization’s national movement to ensure children in under-resourced communities can enjoy the health and youth development benefits of the game.
