- Faculty and staff trained in understanding/recognizing the specific needs/concerns of past & current military personnel
- Analysis of college credits earned at another institution
- Campus housing
- Adaptive learning techniques (special needs)
- Admissions and/or financial aid staff aware of the passage of the new Post 911 GI Bill
- Veterans' education benefit counseling
- Financial aid/tuition assistance
- Academic advising
- Tutoring services
- Career planning/career services
- Veterans' clubs/student lounge or designated gathering place
- Student health services related to post-traumatic stress disorder, or traumatic brain injury
- A licensed counselor or psychologist trained specifically to address the needs of veterans with disabilities
- Counselor Specialist qualified to support/assist students with brain injuries
- A policy regarding tuition refunds for military activations and deployments
- Course withdrawals as a result of military activations and deployments
College credits may be awarded for:
- College course work at another institution
- National testing program
- Challenge examinations or test-out procedures
