STEP 3 (Optional/Recommended): IN-CLASS SUPPORT

The program component of STEP I is a school-based initiative designed to give teachers on-site support for science teaching excellence that builds teacher efficacy as reflected by consistent demonstration of science content knowledge and pedagogical skills.

STEP I presenters will travel to participants’ classrooms for observation and provide feedback on the STEP I core of knowledge. In a non-evaluative summary, teachers will have opportunities to collaborate with the content specialist to develop lessons that support the program goals and expectations.  To schedule a visit, please send a request with available dates to one of the following presenters.  The presenter will contact you within a week to finalize the schedule.  In-class support is at no cost to the teacher, school, or district.
