Hospital EARC Certification 2022 Training Materials

The NJ Hospital EARC process is utilized for individuals admitted to an acute care hospital or LTAC hospital setting, seeking NF discharge and who meet identified target population with an expectation of billing NJ Medicaid for all or part of their stay.  Hospital discharge planners seeking to conduct the EARC process must obtain an EARC Certification.

• 2022 INITIAL EARC Certification Training and Overview of EARC Portal
  • This training is intended for NJ hospital discharge planning staff who seek INITIAL EARC Certification to become a Hospital EARC Screener.
  • Hospital staff seeking portal access must first access the recorded training. Once complete, submission of the required SF-2, Portal User Access Request Form is required to be submitted to EARCRegistration@dhs.nj.gov.

• EARC Portal Registration
  • The following forms are utilized for Hospital/Screener access to the EARC Portal:
    • SF-1, Information Security Representative Form - Utilized to identify non-portal users to manage portal access for required staff.
    • SF-2, Portal User Access Request Form - Utilized to request initial Portal access, or to request reactivation of a user account.
    • SF-3, Provider Profile Change Request - Utilized to request a change to an existing portal account.
