Program Summary - Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB)
- Program helps pay for Part A premiums, Part B premiums, and deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments for services and items Medicare covers.
- Must not exceed income or asset eligibility limits. For 2022, income and asset limits are as follows:
- Income: $13,590 for singles and $18,310 for married couples
- Assets: $8,400 for singles and $12,600 for married couples
Program Summary - Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB)
- Program pays Medicare Part B premiums.
- Must not exceed income or asset eligibility limits. For 2022, income and asset limits are as follows:
- Income: $16,308 for singles and $21,972 for married couples
- Assets: $8,400 for singles and $12,600 for married couples
Program Summary - Qualifying Individual (QI)
- Program pays Medicare Part B premiums
- Must not exceed income or asset eligibility limits. For 2022, income and asset limits are as follows:
- Income: $18,347 for singles and $24,719 for married couples
- Assets: $8,400 for singles and $12,600 for married couples
