There are a variety of local organizations working to develop housing options. In the short-term the Red Cross may be able to pay for up to two weeks stay in a local hotel. For other information, dial 2-1-1 for local referrals or connection to a care manager.

The NJ Housing Resource Center provides an online resource tool for finding affordable rental properties.

HUD has established a toll-free number (1-888-297-8685) for the public to get information on housing needs.

Residents living in Rural Development-financed apartments who have been displaced are qualified to receive priority admission to any vacant apartment units in the U.S. Contact them at 1-800-414-1226.
