Schools

Students from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama may temporarily transfer to New Jersey public and private schools.

Normal immunization and residency requirements may be waived. Evacuated children are considered homeless and are entitled to enroll in the school district where they temporarily reside; they qualify for free lunches and school supplies.

Please check with the local educational facility before bringing your child to school.

Caldwell College and Seton Hall are two colleges that are taking in displaced college students free for this semester.
