May-31-11 Deputy Commissioner Congratulates Career Center for 1,000 Job Placements

     -News Release -

DEPTFORD, May 31, 2011 – Deputy Commissioner Richard E. Constable, III of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development joined staff and volunteers of the Mid-Atlantic States Career & Education Center to celebrate the non-profit organization placing more than 1,000 people into jobs.

During his remarks, Deputy Commissioner Constable praised Mid-Atlantic for their dedication to helping its customers to make a better living by gaining the skills they need to be successful. Constable also said he is encouraged by Mid-Atlantic successfully placing 1,000 people from challenging populations into jobs and that he was impressed 80 percent of those placed are still employed.

The event was held on May 25, 2011, at Filomena’s Lakeview Restaurant in Deptford, New Jersey. Approximately 60 people attended.
