NEW BRUNSWICK, OCTOBER 7, 2011  --  Deputy Commissioner Richard Constable of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) participated in the 29th annual leadership conference organized by the New Jersey Black Issues Convention. The event, held at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, centered on the theme “Strengthening Families and Building Community.”

Deputy Commissioner Constable participated on the “Strategies to Address the Employment Crisis Facing Our Community” panel where he highlighted LWD initiatives and programs including Jobs for America’s Graduates and Youth Corps, which connect at risk youth with training, jobs, and careers and Jobs4Jersey.com, a virtual One-Stop Career Center that links New Jersey job-seekers and employers and allows job-seekers to upload their resume or create a resume.

“The Department of Labor has numerous programs available to help New Jersey workers and job-seekers,” said Constable. “We want to help as many people as we can.”
