MONROE TWP - The New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) recently honored Moses Green as one of five 2005 Correction Officer of the Year recipients. This award is bestowed annually upon one officer from each of the JJC's five secure facilities. Recipients of this award are selected based on outstanding job performance, exemplary work records, and service to their communities.

Officer Green began his career with the JJC in 1999 at its Juvenile Medium Security Facility. He is currently assigned to the Juvenile Female Secure Care and Intake Facility, located in Bordentown, where he serves as Lobby Control Officer. In this role, he plays an important part in maintaining security within the facility by controlling ingress and egress, and operating the security control panel.

"Through his professionalism on the job and his commitment to his community, Correction Officer Moses Green has proven to be a role model and mentor for the juvenile residents in JJC facilities, as well for young people in his community," said Howard L. Beyer, Executive Director, JJC. "The JJC is committed to realizing the potential of the young people in its care and helping them change the direction of their futures. Our dedicated and experienced law enforcement staff play a critical role in fulfilling this mission."

Officer Moses is married to Savannah, his wife of 24 years. He is the proud father of three children, Ricardo, Kevin and Moses, Jr. He also owns his own construction and contracting business, and is a member and volunteers at True Church of Christ in Eastampton.

The JJC employs approximately 500 law enforcement officers.
