Juvenile Justice Commission Employee earns
"Worker of the Year" Award ![]() EGG HARBOR -The New Jersey Juvenile Detention Association recently presented Jacqueline Bartell of Pleasantville with its Worker of the Year Award for Atlantic County. The award was presented at the 5th Annual New Jersey Juvenile Detention Association/Juvenile Justice Commission's Training Conference at Trump Marina in Atlantic City on September 11, 2003. "The JJC is committed to realizing the potential of the youth in its care and helping them change the direction of their futures. Our dedicated and experienced staff play a critical role in fulfilling this mission," said Howard L. Beyer, Executive Director. "Ms. Bartell serves as a role model for our residents as well as our staff." Ms. Bartell is a Senior Youth Worker at the Atlantic County Juvenile Detention Center which is operated by the State of New Jersey, Juvenile Justice Commission through a contractual agreement. The detention center can accommodate 27 youth. Ms. Bartell has been employed by State of New Jersey, Juvenile Justice Commission since March of 1999. The "Worker of the Year" awards are presented by the New Jersey Juvenile Detention Association to recognize an outstanding staff member in each of the19 juvenile detention centers in the State of New Jersey.
