Juvenile Justice Commission Appoints New Superintendent
- Coyle of Stroudsburg, PA to lead Warren Residential Community Home -

TRENTON - The New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission's (JJC) Executive Board recently approved the appointment of Michael P. Coyle, a resident of Stroudsburg, PA, as superintendent of the Warren Residential Community Home located in Oxford, New Jersey.

"The Juvenile Justice Commission is pleased to welcome Michael P. Coyle as the superintendent of the Warren Residential Community Home," said Howard L. Beyer, Executive Director of the Juvenile Justice Commission. "During his thirteen years with the JJC, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to the troubled youth of this state. He has twice - once in 1999 and again in 2000 - been recognized for his dedication to youth and professional excellence as a Staff Member of the Year. In his new capacity as superintendent, Mr. Coyle will lead Warren Residential Community Home and its staff to strive to change the futures of troubled youth."

The JJC is the single state agency responsible for providing juvenile correctional rehabilitation and parole services. The JJC cares for New Jersey's high risk and increasingly vulnerable youth. The agency operates six secure care facilities, as well as 22 residential community homes and day treatment facilities. In addition, the JJC is responsible for parole and transitional services for youth when they return home.

Warren Residential Community Home is a 32-bed residential program that serves male juvenile offenders ranging from 16 to 18 years of age. The program strives to prepare youth to return home as successful members of their communities.

Mr. Coyle attended East Stroudsburg University majoring in sports management. He began his career as a youth worker at Warren RCH in 1990. In addition, Mr. Coyle has received training in gang violence, crisis intervention, and child abuse and neglect prevention.
