Secretary of State Regena L. Thomas to
speak at Women's History Celebration BORDENTOWN - Secretary of State Regena L. Thomas will be the keynote speaker at the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission's (JJC) Women's History Month celebration entitled "Visionary Women: Women Making History." The program will be held at the JJC's Female Secure Care and Intake Facility located in Bordentown on March 10 at 3:00 p.m. Residents from the Female Secure Care and Intake Facility, D.O.V.E.S. Residential Community Home and the Valentine Residential Community Home will attend the event. These residents have been placed in the custody of the JJC by the courts. "The Juvenile Justice Commission is honored to have Secretary of State Regena L. Thomas celebrate Women's History Month with our residents. She truly demonstrates leadership and commitment to public service, and serves a role model that our residents can look up to. Secretary Regena Thomas is a woman who is making history every day," said Howard L. Beyer, Executive Director, Juvenile Justice Commission. The Female Secure Care and Intake Facility is a secure facility. Attendees must RSVP to Sharon Lauchaire (see above for phone number) to confirm their attendance and to be placed on the visitor list. Directions will be provided. Photographers will be admitted, however, all photographs must be taken from behind and cannot include juveniles' faces as directed by State laws that protect juveniles' confidentiality.
