Employment Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC).

To successfully carry out its mission, the Commission offers a variety of career opportunities in both administrative and operational areas.  If you wish to submit an application for employment consideration, please submit a complete application package which includes an employment application (dpf-663) with a signed Personal Relationship Disclosure Statement (PRDS), and an updated resume. You may mail the completed application package to MVC Human Resources, PO Box 050, Trenton, NJ 08666-050. Only application packages completed in their entirety will be considered for employment. If you are replying to a job posting, please send the application/resume to the address listed in the job announcement.

Should a vacancy occur for which you qualify, your application will be circulated to the appropriate area within the Commission for consideration. All applications are retained for a period of one year.

Additionally, in accordance with N.J.S.A.52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act", which became effective September 1, 2011, all persons newly hired by the State on or after that date must reside in the State of New Jersey unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after you begin employment to relocate your principal residence to New Jersey.

In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 465 and P.L. 2021, 466, the SAME program was established to enable New Jersey State agencies to hire, promote, retain, and advance qualified individuals whose physical or mental impairments impact their abilities to participate in the hiring and promotion process for non-competitive and unclassified titles within the State workforce. This program uses a fast-track process that permits people who are eligible for the program to request that the State appointing authority schedule with them a good faith interview. Individuals applying for non-competitive or unclassified positions under this program should contact us to determine if they are eligible for the fast track hiring process.
