MVC Offers Expanded Services in Paterson
(PATERSON) – Continuing the Christie Administration’s efforts to enhance agency performance and improve customer service, Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) Chairman and Chief Administrator Raymond P. Martinez today announced the completion of new space in the Paterson Motor Vehicle Agency that allows for the consolidation of all types of driver resources into one city agency in North Jersey.
The once small Paterson agency, which is located at 125 Broadway, Suite 201, could only accommodate 60 customers at a time. With an additional 3,600 square feet of space, almost 350 customers can utilize the agency's many services at any given time.
"Our renovations are now complete in Paterson, and we invite customers to utilize this one-stop shop in the northern part of the state," said Martinez.
Martinez added that in addition to the larger space, the MVC has more than doubled the number of staffers dedicated solely to Suspension and Restoration services.
Most importantly, Paterson will join Trenton on March 24 as one of only two locations in the entire state where customers can schedule and attend a pre-hearing conference. These conferences are designed to give customers an opportunity to possibly resolve an impending suspension.
"By making Paterson a pre-hearing conference location, customers in the northern part of the state who are trying to reconcile their impending suspension will no longer have to drive all the way to Trenton to do so," said Martinez.
