CUSTOMER ADVISORY

MVC Facilities Closed All Day Saturday, January 23

(TRENTON) – Customers of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) are advised that due to the winter storm, Governor Christie has declared a state of emergency and all 39 MVC facilities will be closed on Saturday, January 23, 2016. This safety-based decision includes agencies, suspension and restoration centers, driver testing locations and inspection stations.

Weather conditions for Monday, January 25, are uncertain, at this time. MVC customers are advised to check www.njmvc.gov before leaving the safety of their homes and venturing out to an MVC facility on Monday. Online services will remain available during the current weather-related closures.

The MVC reminds customers to always check our website before any visit to a local office and to take advantage of our “Skip the Trip” license renewal process and our on-line services such as vehicle registration renewals, driver abstract requests, and surcharge and restoration payments.

For more information about the ongoing positive changes at the MVC, please visit www.njmvc.gov.
