Press Release

Statement by MVC Chief Administrator Sue Fulton

TRENTON – New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Chief Administrator Sue Fulton today released the following statement:

“As announced on Friday, we have delayed the opening of MVC Vehicle Centers and Licensing Centers to July 7. As Chief Administrator, I have stated clearly that the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority; opening without the SMS notification system would create crowds that exceed our capacity limits and ability to adhere to social-distancing.

Road tests and inspections are open today as scheduled.

We remind everyone that expiration dates for licenses, registrations, and inspections were extended until at least July 31, and many transactions can be done at NJMVC.gov.”
