MVC Vehicle Center in Wallington Closed Until November 25

TRENTON – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has announced that, effective immediately, the Wallington Vehicle Center is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The Wallington Vehicle Center will reopen Wednesday, November 25.

The employee who tested positive was last in the Wallington Center on Tuesday, November 10.

Four other MVC Centers remain closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at each location, and will reopen on the following dates:

  • Runnemede Vehicle Center – reopens Thursday, November 19
  • Trenton Regional/Vehicle Center – reopens Friday, November 20
  • Eatontown Regional/Licensing Center – reopens Friday, November 20
  • Bayonne Licensing Center – reopens Wednesday, November 25

Upon closure due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, MVC Centers are cleaned and remain closed until contact tracers have cleared enough employees to reopen or any required quarantine is complete.

The Cherry Hill Vehicle Center, South Plainfield Licensing Center, and Wayne Licensing Center will be reopening Monday, November 16.

The Cherry Hill Vehicle Center will resume normal operations on Monday.

The Wayne and South Plainfield Licensing Centers will be reopening as appointment-only locations until Monday, November 23. No walk-ins will be allowed at either location.

The South Plainfield and Wayne Centers again will be closed on Saturday, November 21, as Saturday employees are required to quarantine at both locations.

Customers should always log on to NJMVC.gov to check the status of locations before heading out to any MVC facility. Additionally, nearly 30 different online services and transactions are available at the MVC website, where customers also can make appointments for select license and vehicle transactions, find quick links for up-to-date information, and learn more about the many recent changes at the MVC.
