Customers should always check the status of locations and verify the availability of their transaction at NJMVC.gov before visiting any MVC facility. Most in-person transactions at MVC agencies require an appointment and are not available on a walk-in basis.
At the website, customers can use the “How do I…?” Cheat Sheet to identify whether a license or vehicle transaction is available online, by appointment, or by walk-in; find quick links with up-to-date information; complete transactions like license and registration renewals online; schedule appointments for license and vehicle transactions; and learn more about the many recent changes at the MVC.
