Proposed Amendment – Requirements for Standard Driver Licenses and Non-Driver Identification Cards

The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed an amendment to the Requirements for Standard Driver Licenses and Non-Driver Identification Cards regulations. The amendment concerns the documentation required for proof of a Social Security number when applying for a standard driver license.  The Commission’s proposal was published in the February 16, 2021 issue of the New Jersey Register.

The regulatory proposal may be found on the MVC website, njmvc.gov.  A copy may also be obtained by mail from the Motor Vehicle Commission, by emailing a request to MVC.RuleComments@mvc.nj.gov or calling (609) 777-1407.
