Proposed Rule Amendments - Organization of the Motor Vehicle Commission; Fees

The Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed amendments to its regulations setting forth the organizational structure of the Commission and has further proposed to increase fees for various motor vehicle related transactions, processes and services.     

The Commission’s proposal was published in the February 17, 2009 issue of the New Jersey Register.  Copies of the proposal may be obtained by mail or in person from the Motor Vehicle Commission, 225 East State Street, 9th Floor – East Wing, P.O. Box 162, Trenton, New Jersey 08666-0162; or by telephone at (609) 777-1407. 

As initially set forth in the published proposal, the public has until April 18, 2009 to submit comments to the Motor Vehicle Commission with regard to this proposal.  However, based upon the volume of comments the Commission has received that include requests that the comment period be extended, the Commission has chosen to exercise its discretion to extend the comment period.  The Commission will now accept public comments through May 2, 2009.
