Liberty State Park

For more than ten million European immigrants, the Statue of Liberty was their first glimpse of America before they went for processing at Ellis Island and boarded cross-country trains at the Central Railroad of New Jersey. This waterfront area is now called Liberty State Park and is minutes by ferry from the statue on Liberty Island and Ellis Island.

When you purchase these new plates, you are celebrating and supporting the re-creation of this area into a modern park with a world-class science center, 60-acre nature area and swimming, tennis, boating and fishing facilities.
