Workers' Compensation

Workers' compensation is a no-fault insurance program that generally provides medical treatment, temporary wage replacement during treatment and, where established, permanent disability benefits to employees who are injured at work. In New Jersey, the workers' compensation program is administered by the Division of Workers' Compensation for claims and benefit matters and the Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau for insurance premium issues. As an employer choice state, New Jersey employers and their insurance carriers select and authorize medical providers, which is an important feature in controlling medical expenses.
