Disaster Recovery and Preparedness

Is your business ready in case of an emergency? Estimates indicate that up to 40 percent of small businesses never reopen following a disaster. New Jersey wants you to be prepared before, during and after a disaster by encouraging you to create an emergency management plan. With a plan in place, you and your employees will be able to react and respond quickly and safely in a time of crisis.

To help small businesses be prepared for an emergency, the State has condensed pages of resource materials and information into a simple, easy-to-follow document that contains key information, resources and reminders regarding NJ disaster preparedness, disaster recovery and business continuity planning. What's more, our Business Recovery Check List serves as a quick step-by-step guide to returning your business back to normal as soon as possible.
